Elaborate blind stamping on spine and front board, partially enhanced with gilt and green ink. Rubbing to extremities. Soiling to front board. Textblock threatening to crack in multiple spots. Many scattered inscriptions to the original owner, Alice Mitchell. Now Ensign College, Latter Day Saints University was founded in 1886 as the Salt Lake Academy. Through numerous changes in name, degrees offered, and buildings occupied, the institution has had a presence in downtown Salt Lake City. This special 40th Anniversary yearbook has many unique features, such as over a dozen full-page plates of engravings illustrating campus buildings (including the Lion House, then the location of the Domestic Science department). Also featured is a message from 1926-1948 President Feramorz Y. Fox, son of Ruth May Fox.
