Folio (13-3/4" x 9"; 35 x 23 cm). Contemporary vellum (from a manuscript leaf), later hand-lettered title to spine, pastedowns renewed, other endleaves removed. Staining to boards, front board bowed, spine ends and corners bumped, spine lettering partially rubbed away in places. Title page printed in red and black. Moderate toning, light foxing to most of text, small inkspots to a few leaves, partial crack in text block between half-title and title page, repairs to fore-edges of half-title, title page and following leaf. $650. * Second edition. Parladorio was an advocate in Valladolid and a legal advisor to the Spanish monarchy renowned throughout Europe for his knowledge of civil, administrative and commercial law. His works went through many editions and were published in several important publishing centers. Opera Juridica is a collection of his most important works. First published in 1595, its final four editions were published in 1688, 1734, 1761 and 1762. All are scarce. OCLC locates no copies of the second edition in North America.
