Non-archival tape applied to inside of jacket at spine and front flap. Two spots of soiling on front cover. Some age-toning to rear board. Top edge of textblock dyed blue, though faded. Remnants of removed bookplate on front pastedown. Interior pages clean. Shelved in Case 13. The first state of the jacket had no mention of the Pulitzer Prize. This copy has a sticker reading "Pulitzer Prize Winner" affixed to the front cover at a slight angle, presumably after the Prize was awarded but before new jackets were printed. 1374690.
