New York: Julien Levy Gallery, 1936. Ephemera. Near Fine. The very uncommon October to November 1936 announcement card and catalogue for Giorgio De Chirico's first solo exhibition at New York's Julien Levy Gallery. The off-white single sheet, folded into fourths and illustrated by the Italian surrealist painter himself, is in very sharp condition. Clean, bright and Near Fine. 15 of De Chirico's pieces are listed in the show and the long, admiring essay is by Albert C. Barnes ("Julien Levy: Portrait of an Art Gallery", pg. 179).
