Scarce edition of a charming and lighthearted book by a doctor, consisting of sixteen pages of humorous short stories, jokes, or scenarios. To set the tone, it begins with a caution to its reader: "Warning!! If you have been CUT OPEN and the stitches have not been taken out, DON'T read this book... Something may BURST THROUGH!" (upper wrapper verso). This copy has been personalized; in the rear, two illustrations of patients reading in bed have been labeled "Jen" and "Dewey" in contemporary ink.
