A passionate polemic elucidating the Communist position on Jewish rights, Palestine, Birobidjan, and Zionism. Includes a chapter titled "Some Current Cultural Problems" which addresses issues such as "the cultural problems springing from the bilingual character of the American Jewish national group", and the need for a cohesive "progressive Jewish life". Ends with a call to action for "Jews together with non-Jews" to "defeat once and for all the drive of Wall Street" by voting accordingly in the 1948 elections.

Single vol. (7.25" by 5"), pp. 39, [1], stapled in original printed self wrps. Alexander Bittelman (1890-1982) was a Jewish-American writer and founding member of the Communist Party USA. He was born in present-day Ukraine, and emigrated in 1912. He was convicted for violation of the Smith Act in 1953 and jailed for three years; in 1961, he was called in front of the House Un-American Activities Committee in 1961, but refused to testify against his peers.
