Tight and VG to VG+ in its navy-blue cloth, with lavish blindstamping and gilt-design and titling to the panels. Dozens of fold-out maps, charts and crests throughout, a number of them in chromolithography. A gennereous amount of engravings as well, all designed to give a deep visual sense of a city which by the mid 19th century was already teeming with life and commerce.
