The content of this issue includes an instructional and moralistic dialogue, followed by instructions for exploring basic concepts (shapes, colors, weight, water, earth). Natural history is a focus, and the book encourages children to investigate the world for themselves: Where does water come from? Suppose you put some ice in a warm place, what becomes of it?
