Light toning and soiling to exterior, faint marks to verso of title page, internally clean, presentation inscription "To James G. Gidding, with best regards, Sidney S. Alderman" dated 4/17/54 to front wrapper. $150. * Alderman, a North Carolina lawyer and veteran of World War I, served as Associate Trial Counsel for the United States during the Nuremberg Trials. In this address delivered on May 28, 1954 before the Tennessee Bar Association, he reviews and criticizes favorite quotations from the opinions of U.S. Supreme Court justices, including Holmes, Stone, Frankfurter and Robert H. Jackson, a fellow Nuremberg prosecutor. This copy is inscribed to James G. Gidding, a World War II veteran who worked for Southern Railway System at the same time as Alderman. This pamphlet appears to be unrecorded. No copies located on OCLC.
