Abel Swale Awnsham and John Churchill, 1722. Map engraved by Sutton Nichols, with central horizontal fold, for Camden's Britannia, with foliate title cartouche in the upper right; attractively hand colored in outline, in green, blue, gold and pink; 16 3/4" x 14 7/8"; left-hand top corner has had some minor "bleed" and appears to have been retouched; nicely matted and framed in silver gilt.~~Camden's Britannia was created by English mapmaker Robert Morden who produced county maps covering England and Wales. This map of Cambridgeshire is particularly attractive with the hand-coloring in outline.~~Note; this map has not been examined out of the frame.
