With very light rubbing to the bottom edges of the boards. In the dust jacket with light soiling and periodic small open tears to the edges. The largest open tear is to the top edge of the rear panel, measuring 1 inch wide by 3/4 inch deep. There is also a 3" closed tear to the bottom edge. 'The Bridge in the Jungle' (Die Brucke im Dschungel) was originally written as a short story and was intended to be the title piece of Traven's short story collection. It was serialized in Vorwarts in 1927. This is the Hungarian translation. Most of B. Traven's work was originally published in Germany. His first book was The Death Ship.
