Quarto; specically bound in green morocco with an elaborate gilt border, raised bands with decorations in compartments, dentelle turn-ins; 69 pages; printed with wide margins; with engraved portrait frontispiece protected with tissue guard; binding is a bit scuffed.~~With the name "A. H. Laflin" stamped in gilt to the upper board. This is almost certainly "Addison Laflin" who represented New York's 20th congressional district from 1865 to 1871. Likely a special edition of Mr. Bancroft's eulogy.
