Paul-Jean Toulet (1867-1920) was a French poet and novelist. An uncommon title in this edition, with illustrations by Jean Moral. Jean Moral (1906-1999) was a respected French photographer (experimenting with multiple images and abstraction), who turned to drawing later in life. OCLC locates three worldwide holdings of 'Les Tendres Menages' (undetermined issue), only one of which is held by an American institution [North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Glasgow University, and Koninklijke Bibliotheek(Netherlands)]
