He emigrated in 1750. He married Margareta or Margarite Maurer (1739-1805), daughter of Herman Maurer and Anna Maria, in about 1759. They had seven children. They lived in Dover Township, York County, Pennsylvania, Loudon County, Virginia and Frederick County, Maryland. Anthony died in 1803. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Maryland and Virginia.~~"Many Souders came to America.
