A brief Q&A-style informational booklet for the general public, answering common questions about the Juvenile Court system in North Carolina c.1923. Features a nice but of design on the upper wrapper with the caption, "A Square Deal For the Child", and the silhouette of a wayward youth next to an adult. Questions include, "Why is a Juvenile Court necessary?" and "Is there an institution for delinquent Negro boys?". Single vol. (9" by 6"), pp. 11, [1], original illus. green-blue wrps. Ink author attribution on title-page (in author's handwriting). Wiley Britton Sanders (1957-1971) was Professor of Sociology at UNC Chapel Hill and author of "Juvenile Offenders For A Thousand Years", a historical overview of juvenile delinquency, as well as a 1933 study titled "Negro Child Welfare in North Carolina
