It begins with a boy's uncle helping him to begin collecting sea shells and continues with other aspects of nature. Toward the end, the young boy wants to know more and even in four years when he reaches college age to learn more. He is told by the uncle that if he is industrious, he and his father will help to make it possible. A very good copy of a young boy's book on nature and collecting bound in red cloth decorated in blind, spine gilt, yellow endpapers, only a bit of wear to spine ends.
