Illustrated by the author. The edges of the text block are foxed and the bottom edge of the text block is lightly moisture stained (only bleeding a little into the pages). The boards are also moisture stained in several areas along the edges. The text block is cracked at the beginning. In the dust jacket, with general light rubbing, and moisture staining to the reverse corresponding with the areas of the book that have sustained moisture damage. The jacket actually presents quite well. Signed by the author on the front free endsheet. An anthology containing Abbey's own selections from twelve of the author's books; including a rare excerpt from Jonathan Troy, and a then unpublished excerpt from The Rites of Spring, that was subsequently issued as The Fool's Progress, the last novel published in his lifetime.
