Pimlico, London, England: T. Gwennap Junr, 1827. Near-fine.. A scarce engraved business card advertising conservation services by an engraver and art restorer in London: "T. Gwennap Junr. No. 15 Upper Belgrave place Pimlico. Old Pictures clean'd with the greatest care and Repaired in the highest perfection. Ancient Miniatures, Drawings, Missals, Models, articles of taste & Vertu, clean'd & Repaired." The image depicts the text surrounded by an elaborate frame, various objets d'art, and 17th century paintings (including one of Henry VIII). Measures approx. 4.75" by 3.25" Several engravings and etchings by T. Gwennap survive, but it is rare to find evidence of the engraver's other professional activities (i.e. art conservation).
