Pocock was an early member of the Institute of British Architects, and was Master of the Carpenters' Company. "As an architect he was competent but unremarkable, his best work being in the Greek Doric style" [see: COLVIN, p.649]. An important work being one of the first to survey interior decoration. ARCHER 63. BERLIN CATALOGUE 2319. From 1799 to 1827 he exhibited designs of minor works at the Royal Academy, the most ambitious of which was a 'Design for a Temple of Fame.'
