Early coverage of the first inauguration of the first President of the United States. With long detailed accounts of the events, including the text of his inaugural address and the swearing in as well as the exchange of letters of congratulations between Washington and the U.S. Congress (pages 314-318). This is an early publication of Washington's inaugural address delivered on April 30,1789 in New York City, and an important piece of American history. Also contains some of Washington's memoirs (pages 286-290). Additional articles include the Culture of Coffee Beans, and The Natural History of Fishes. Notable issue of the news magazine printed by the famed printer Isaiah Thomas. This magazine ran from 1789 to 1796.
