Knight's Pictorial Bible, issued between 1836 and 1838, was "the first very extensively illustrated Bible", having hundreds of woodcuts. The voluminous editorial notes were by John Kitto, and were published anonymously in the First Edition. . It was quite successful commercially, and thus not surprisingly Knight followed up with the Pictorial Book of Common Prayer. Very Good binding.
