With tissue guard, tissue overlay, and cover sheet (formerly attached using a glued flap; the glue has failed). Light exterior tanning and soil from usage in production, the image is bright and fine. Signed "Sam'l H. Bryant," and with his address label on the verso. The cover is titled in manuscript: "Endpaper Map. Bangkok. Waugh," and beneath the map is written: "Endpaper Map. Bangkok. Waugh. 1 Color.. Original map art for the endleaves of the first American edition. Ink on Strathmore illustration board with halftone rivers and printed place names laid down. 18" x 13½" on 20¾" x 16½" board. A handsome original map of downtown Bangkok (scale approximately 3" : 1 mile) with a nicely rendered map of Thailand in the bottom left corner. The original publisher's art for the endleaves of Waugh's 1971 history of Bangkok.
