"A typographic version by Richard Hamilton of Marcel Duchamp's 'Green Box', translated (from its native French) by George Heard Hamilton". Clean, tight and Near Fine in a crisp, price-intact ($6.00), VG dustjacket, with slight waviness to the panels, light wear along the spine edge and just a bit of light chipping along the foot of the spine. (From the front dustjacket flap: "Marcel Duchamp's 'Green Box' was published in October 1934 in an edition of 300 numbered copies. It contains 94 documents; 15 reproductions of paintings and 79 exact facsimiles of manuscript notes. These were th exploratory studies for Duchamp's large composition in oil paint, lead wire and lead foil on two glass panels entitled 'La Mariee mise a nu par ses celibataires, meme', now part of the Arensberg Collection of Duchamp's work in the Philadelphia Museum of Art."). This, the 1960 Richard Hamilton iteration and 1st complete translation into English, is #14 in the formidable "Documents of Modern Art" series, which was directed by Robert Motherwell.
