Large 8vo, consisting of five folded leaves, housed in a bespoke drop back box; according to Klingspor, one of four copies, each with four different original watercolors by Heinrich Holz, which were included print edition.~~Of the artist Heinrich Holz, Heinz H. Schmiedt writes in monograph Heinrich Holz: ein Maler und Illustator aus Offenbach am Main, 1890-1927 published in Darmstadt in 1966: "His people are dream creatures. They cast their gaze below themselves, their posture is wistful, and they place their foot pointedly and weightlessly on the ground... jewelry and headgear occasionally come close to the bizarre."~~The four watercolors are lovely, and are protected by tissue guards. The box is in green cloth and has a bit of sunning; it has a morocco label to the spine. Very Good binding.
