United States, 1880. Very good. A little toning, dust soiling.. Miniature needlepoint on punch paper depicting a bright red bird (perhaps a cardinal?) perched on a green branch. Mounted inside a wove paper bifolium with embossed floral border. The needlepoint is visible through a hand-cut window in the first leaf. Measures approx. 5.5" by 3.75
