Mass Market PB (B&W photographs) The screenplay for Wilder & Diamond's 1963 romantic comedy about a happy-go-lucky Parisian prostitute and the gendarme who loves her, starring Shirley MacLaine and Jack Lemmon. It was a non-musical version of the 1956 French musical play of the same name, an enormous success which had a four-year run in Paris; the Broadway version, which opened in 1960, garnered a bunch of Tony nominations. .
