Here and there, Guthrie has made substantive corrections to the text by inserting sections of corrected typescript comprising several lines of dialogue or an entire paragraph of exposition. These inserts are typed by the author and include his holograph corrections. There are several other holograph corrections to the text of the galleys as well. Front wrap, with trivial soiling and final sheet torn, else fine. Montana writer A. B. Guthrie, Jr. won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction for his novel The Way West in 1950.
