B 340th Service Battalion. Three of the subjects are identified: Sgt. Eugene Brown of Youngstown, Ohio; Sgt. George Guthrie of Wichita, Kansas; and Bruce V. Brown of Springfield, Ohio. The photograph is printed on French postcard stock. The group is wearing overcoats and appear in front of an old building. Overall a compelling image that should be of interest to scholars of African-American military contributions in France during the conflict.
