Winged Putti Lace Paper 16mo Valentine

England, 1860. Very good. Minor spotting, some remnants of adhesive on back.. A finely produced 16mo lace paper valentine, made from an attractive pictorial lace paper bifolium (3.25" by 2.5"), with two pieces of colored paper underneath to "color" the lace. The image itself depicts two elaborate borders around two putti-- one winged and holding a garland, the other reclining on a bed of wildflowers. A very nice example.
