Affection's offering" -- 16mo Pictorial Lace Paper Valentine Depicting Couple Courting

England, 1860. Very good. Two minor points of damage to lace paper, minor spotting.. A beautifully produced 16mo lace paper valentine, telling a story: at the head, the lace paper depicts a couple courting in a pastoral setting, and at the foot, they are depicting sitting together at the breakfast table. Features a floral border, and a small printed scrap in the middle reading "Affection's offering". The final component in the valentine is the inclusion of two colored scraps of coated paper, green and purple, adhered to the second leaf, and showing brightly through the lace paper above.
