A rather hard-to-find hardcover reissue of this early Anderson novel, an exploration of the potential effects of greatly heightened intelligence among Earth's inhabitants. Anderson considered it one of his best works, which likely accounts for the existence of this reissue some fifteen years after the book's first appearance.
