Finely produced 16mo Valentine Envelope

England, 1860. Very good to near-fine.. A remarkably well preserved 16mo valentine sachet, made from delicate and finely produced lace paper heightened with gold. Features embossed images of winged putti on either side, and two putti in the center, draped in silver fabric and surrounded by a garland of roses. The background is delicate pink tissue paper.
