The 1913-1914 annual report of the Kraus Alumni Kindergarten Association, an organization dedicated to promoting Kindergarten, Froebel, and Montessori in New York City-area schools. Includes: a list of officers; minutes from the 1914 annual meeting; news from the year; a treasurer's report; program of lectures for the upcoming year; and a list of members with addresses. 16mo (6" by 4.75"), pp. 28, [4], stapled in original printed green wrappers. Enclosed is a typewritten letter dated 1899 from the Secretary of the New York Kindergarten Association, informing Mrs. Edward G. Love of her election to their Board of Managers. Maria Kraus-Boelté (1836-1918) was staunch supporter of Froebel in early education, and made her career training educators in the method. She formed her training course in New York in the 1870s.
