A well-preserved 8vo embossed lace paper Valentine with chromolithograph scrap depicting an open book surrounded by flora, with the message: "I'd rather lean upon a breast Responsive to my own Than sit pavilioned gorgeously Upon a kingly throne". The lace paper design also incorporates flora. Lace paper bifolium (3.75" by 5.75").
