New York: McLoughlin Bros, 1890. Paperback. Very Good. Paperback. Rare. A rather depressing story of morality in verse about two orphaned children who are left in their uncle's care. Rather than raise them, he arranges to have them murdered so that he can collect their inheritence. The children are abandoned in the woods and starve to death. The uncle suffers from God's wrath with very bad luck following his terrible deed - his two sons die, he loses his home and fortune, confesses, and he is executed.
