1882. Very Good. INSCRIBED BY THE AUTHOR, CLAUDE VINCENT, on the front free eendpaper. A solid copy to boot of the 1882 1st edition of this report of a tour of inspection of irrigation works in Southern France and Italy. Pasted-on "Corporation of Rochdale" plate at the front panel, otherwise solid and VG in its blue boards, with decorative blindstamping to the panels. 17 plates (a number of them large fold-outs) and 7 sketches, including a pasted-on sepia photo at the frontispiece of a statue of Leonardo Da Vinci. From the Robert E. Horton Library of Pure and Applied Physics, Hydraulics and Hydrology, whose bookplate is affixed to the front pastedown, above Robert E. Horton's stamp.
