Multi-colored cartonnage polychrome boards bright with slight rubbing to gilt. Textblock edges in gilt. Slight age-toning to pages, mild foxing throughout. Text in French. Shelved in Room A Oversized. This edition (Cartonnage au steamer - Doré) was published between 1892 and 1905.

Le Chateau des Carpathes was the inspiration for Bram Stoker"s Dracula, published in 1897.

The polychrome cardboard was produced by Magnier, the plate by Souze. 1383060. Special Collections.
