The uncommon September 1971 maiden issue of this influential Irish-American literary journal, published out of Cambridge, MA, specifically at the Plough and Stars, an Irish pub in Cambridge. Tight and VG+ in its pictorial beige wrappers, with light soiling to the panels. Octavo, 124 pgs. plus local acknowledgements. Contributors to this 1st issue incuded Ted Berrigan, Anselm Hollo, Anne Waldman, etc. and soon to join the Editorial staff --and to contribute as a writer-- would be Irish poet and Nobelist Seamus Heaney.
