As a result, a narrator often made errors when dictating from the text to a scribe. Copy errors in the 'original' manuscript of the 'Book of Mormon' have 'fosselized' bits of an antecedent text, the 'urtext.' The present work contains the first systematic study of the copy errors in the original manuscript of the BoM.
