The Buddhism of Tibet, or, Lamaism
- Cambridge: W. Heffer & Sons, 1958
Cambridge: W. Heffer & Sons, 1958. Second Edition Stated. 8vo. 21.5cm x 15cm. Publisher's pale blue cloth. Dustjacket. Titled and decorated in dark green to spine and front board, strong and clean, in a dustjacket with some light, minor wear to the extremities and some soiling to the white rear panel. A very good, handsome copy. 598pp. Internally clean. A very attractive and faithful reprinting from the original publishers of the 1895 edition. One of the first, and least ridiculous, Western works on Buddhism and the Lamas of Tibet, perhaps down to the fact that Waddell spent an appreciable time in Tibet, studying the complexities of Buddhism.
