This is an unusual presentation copy and contains primary sources documents, as well.
On the endpapers: Eliza Elden Weston married the Rev. James P. Weston. They are the grandparents of the children of Walter Woodman (W.W. Mich. 11, 1923). Opposite: With autograph of E.E. Weston from Cyrus Woodman, March 20, 1856.
Below that: To Elizabeth Woodman Wright from Mary Deane Dexter, May 1932, from the Deane Library. Note: "This is not necessarily mine. It came from Lowell with the "Archives"...October, 1981..."

Reverend Paul Coffin was a minister who served Buxton from about 1761 to 1821. Serving the Tory Hill Congregational Church for nearly 60 years, Coffin officiated at 483 weddings and baptized 794 people. Of equal importance, the rear endpaper contains a pasted down handwritten list of graduate of Harvard University, Class of 1759, includes a mark next to Paul Coffin's name, 1812, list copied by Walter Woodman, Jan. 26, 1916. It is presumed this book was handed down through the families, this copy owned previously by Walter Woodman. Scarce. Cracked and shaken spine, exposed lower, wear to head and tail, bumped corners, scuffing, foxing to ffep, chipping to frontis, else tight, bright, and unmarred. 8vo. 181pp. illus (b/w, frontis, portraits). Brown blind panel/decorative cloth with gilt titling. Presentation copy with notes and annotations on the endpapers, rear, laid in note and pastedown on rear. Tissue guard over frontis and pasted down photograph.
