1876 Yale College Invitation (Printed by Tiffany & Co.)

New Haven, CT: Yale University, 1876. Single sheet. Near Fine. Lovely 1876 engraved invitation from "The Junior Class of Yale College" to attend a "Promenade Concert" on February 8th, 1876. An off-white single sheet (measuring 5" wide x 8" tall), folded neatly into thirds and in a handsome recent gilt-frame. Notavly, the invitation was printed by Tiffany & Co. (so stated along the bottom edge) and, as such, represents noty only a nice piece of 19th century Yale histoy but also a very early example of Tiffany printing. And a charming example of late 19th century Americana.
