Reinforces themes of international friendship and tolerance for American children. Housed in the original illustrated envelope. includes a leaf of directions, several original metal pins, and a leaf of color suggestions for each doll. Of note are the following directions for children regarding skin color: "Use cream paper for Spanish, Indian, Javanese, Chinese, Italian and Russian types; black for Papuan; white for Scotch and Swedish. Color faces, hands, and feet, light orange shaded with brown, using more brown for darker types".
