A booklet promoting a new 1895 iteration of the Corliss Engine, a more efficient improvement on existing steam engines developed to power looms, mills, and factories. It was seen as major engineering accomplishment of its time, gaining its namesake, George Henry Corliss, widespread recognition when it was unveiled at the 1876 Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia. The booklet includes photos of the engines and diagrams of their components, with technical specifications and instructions for setting up and adjusting the machinery. Includes a list of manufacturers that use the product in the rear. Single vol. (6" by 9"), pp. 74, illus., stapled in original yellow illus. wrps. with photo of Corliss engine on front.
