Double page engraved map, hand colored in outline, 485 x 540mm (21 ½" x 19"). Narrow margins, browned at center fold, chip at top margin, and some aging. Map illustrates Poland, Lothuania and a bit of Russia. The Vaugondy family were known for applying strict standards in their map production, often using the most up to date source in their design. While it can't be totally certain, this map is probably done by the son, who typically signed his work Robert de Vaugondy.
