[Richmond]: Not Identified, 1961. Suede. Very Good binding. Quarto; stapled pamphlet in flexibile suede covered boards, with titling and decoration in gold; 45, [46] pages; with black and white photographic illustrations as well as ads.~~Of particular interest is a photograph of the parish Vestry and Rector [see page 13]; the vestry included Spottswood W. Robinson, III. Mr. Robinson was a significant lawyer who along with Oliver Hill, and working through the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, was instrumental in litigating several civil rights lawsuits in Virginia. One of his cases [Davis v. County School Board of Prince Edward County] was one of several cases consolidated by the Supreme Court under Brown v. Board of Education in 1954. Mr. Robinson made the first argument on behalf of the plaintiffs.~~A most uncommon pamphlet. We find no copies in commerce, and, remarkably have not found any insitutional holdings as of August 27, 2024. Very Good binding.
