England, 1845. Very good. Light toning.. An attractive example of a hand-colored lithographed Valentine, depicting a handsome gentleman, a flying cupid, and bleeding heart flowers. The lithographed poem begins, "Give me thy, heart, I ask no more, Unsullied, free from guile...". Octavo-sized, measuring approx. 7" by 4.5". Includes a later typewritten transcription of the poem (early 20th cent.).
