Quarto; in black embossed cloth with tiltling in gold; 185 pages, followed by a number of local ads, and profusely illustrated with black and white photographs, linocuts and silhouettes. ~~This is Volume 29 of The Yellow Jacket, 1927, the yearbook for Randolph-Macon College. We are very struck by a section at the back of the yearbooks "The Ten Books Every Man Reads" [including Puss In Boots, The Bible, The Arabian Nights and others]. The books are illustrated by full page captioned photographs of students in costume and posed to illustrate a scene from each book -- "The two men rolled over and over until they came to the edge of the precipice, and there they fought" -- Tales of Sherlock Holmes.~~We can imagine that the students enjoyed chosing their book and posing. Very Good binding.
