New York: Parasol Press Ltd, 2000. Original wraps. Fine. The lavish, uncommon catalogue raisonne of Robert Mangold's prints, spanning 1968-1998. Published in 2000 by Parasol Press of New York in an edition of 250 numbered copies (this being #231). An immaculate copy to boot. Consists of 7 separate books, all in their lovely salmon card wrappers, each with loose plates (as issued). The 1st book (or booklet) is the Foreword, with the Introductory text by Amy Baker Sandback; the next of the 7 books is "Serigraphs" ("50 numbered impressions, with 5 artist's proofs numbered A.P. 1-5"); the 3rd is "Intaglios" ("50 numbered impressions, with 15 lettered artist's proofs A-O, 16 trial proofs of various images, of which 7 are signed and 9 are unsigned"); the 4th is "Woodcuts" ("40 numbered impressions, 10 artist's proofs, 3 P.P.s"); the 5th is "Lithographs" ("40 numbered impressions, with 10 artist's proofs, 4 printer's proofs, 2 workshop proofs, 1 B.A.T."); the 6th is "Monoprints" ("25 unique impressions/drawings numbered GT-RM W1-12, and A1-13") and the 7th and final book is "Seven Original Woodcuts", with each of the 7 woodcuts signed by Robert Mangold. All 7 of the books are housed in the publisher's matching salmon chemise. And, beyond this, in a pristine, printed folding beige box. The catalogue raisonne was produced by Francine Halvorsen, the text and images edited by her as well. The design, letterpress printing, handtype composition and book construction were by Carol Sturm. The seven original woodcuts were printed by her as well. The monotype composition was by Michael and Winifred Bixler, the xerography by Finley Graphics. The catalogue raisonne was also issued with a CD, which was designed and edited by Francine Halvorsen. The construction of the outer box was by Brewer and Cantelmo Co. of New York. "The papers are Somerset for text and xerographs, Korean Kozo for woodcuts, and handmade St. Armand fr wrappers. The typeface is Monotype Walbaum" (from the limitation page).
