Spain and Mexico, 1983. Very good. Flaws include light dust soiling, short tears, light wear, toning. Plastic scissors detached from Mickey and Minnie set and broken. Modern tape repairs to some of the packaging.. A collection of twelve (12) Spanish and Latin American paper dolls sets, ranging in date from the 1960s to 1983, all in the Spanish language. Includes a couple of Disney items, which provide fascinating insight into how the company promoted their characters to a Spanish speaking audience at this time. Also of interest throughout is the presence of gender roles (e.g. girls wear skirts and have makeup, boys are sporty and rambunctious). There is probably something also to be said about the lack of skin tone diversity in these paper doll sets (most of the dolls have very light skin, despite how diverse the audience would have been). The items include:

"Mickey y Minnie de Walt Disney".
